The following Terms set forth the terms and conditions that apply to all users of the company’s website, app, and/or services. Please be aware that all of the terms and conditions, the privacy policy, the legal disclaimers, and/or any other terms/policies/notes/disclaimers are included into the current Terms of Service and are collectively referred to as the Agreement.
You must create a Profile and furnish Us with the appropriate Account Information in order to utilise the Services offered by Us on the Website/App. When creating Your Profile, you must submit true, accurate, current, and complete information, including an accurate representation of your name, age, and other essential details. You may use the Services after creating a Profile if you comply with all of the terms and conditions.
You understand and agree that your registration information, as well as any other information acquired by the company, is subject to the company’s Privacy Policy, which you have read and accept as part of this agreement. The firm may collect information such as language, location, contact information, address, and time zone where the Services are utilised in order to give pick-up and drop-off location recommendations in compliance with this Agreement.
As part of the obligatory KYC approval process, you accept and agree to upload a soft copy of your ID Proof.
All bookings for Our Company’s services must be done through the Website or App, and the bookings must be made solely by the User.
The pre-booked vehicle must be picked up by the User from the company’s approved parking spots or any other parking spots specified by the Company. Vehicles will be delivered to the user’s doorstep as agreed by both parties within 30 minutes of the booking time in the case of LTR.
Before picking up the vehicle, the User must present any Government Authorized Identity Card to the company’s authorised person for verification.
When booking a ride through the ScootEV app, the User agrees to keep a minimum wallet balance as required, and both parties agree that the car will be reserved for the User for 15 minutes. ScootEV bikes will be delivered to the doorstep of the requested consumers within 30 minutes of the booking time in the event of Long Term Rentals (LTR).The User agrees that the vehicle is used for solo riding purpose. The vehicle of the Company is not designed for two people. Hence, The User shall not carry a pillion rider. In the event of any User riding with a pillion rider, a fine shall be imposed on him/her for violation of terms and conditions.
The User undertakes to only use the lock mechanism that the Company provides. The User is not permitted to lock the vehicle with any other lock mechanism.
The parties have agreed that it is the User’s responsibility to inspect the car and notify the Company of any damage before taking possession of the vehicle. Any damage reported after taking possession of the vehicle is not the responsibility of the Company.
The User’s booking time will be computed from the moment he or she gets control of the car.
The user must park the car at the firm’s designated parking location or any other location provided by the company.
The user must take photos of all sides of the vehicle and upload them to the ScootEV app to validate damage. The User is responsible for returning the vehicle in the same condition as when it was received.
Both parties agree that the User is liable for paying the Challan amount imposed by the Traffic Police Department for any infraction of traffic laws committed during the User’s booking term.
The Company’s vehicle has a top speed of only 25 kilometres per hour. As a result, there is no need for a helmet, licence, or registration plate. The choice of whether or not to wear a helmet is up to the individual.
It is the Company’s responsibility to provide the Vehicle with a full charge at the time of the booking, and the User agrees to turn on the GPS settings in the Authorized Devices to disclose the current location in the SCOOTEV app to locate the Pick-up and Drop-off location of the vehicles booked by the User.
In addition, if the vehicle’s battery runs out of power, the User must report it using the ScootEV App.
Both parties agree that the Company is not responsible for the User’s personal items. However, if the User claims to have left any of their possessions in a car after completing the booking, the Company will make a “best-effort” endeavour to retrieve the missing items, depending on the circumstances.
The User agrees to report any accident, damage, or vehicle failure/breakdown via the ScootEV app as soon as possible, including the location and type of damage. In the event of a vehicle failure or breakdown, the Company will either replace the car or dispatch a mechanic to fix the problem. The timing for replacing the car, however, will be determined by the location of the vehicle.
If the User causes additional damage to the Vehicle as a result of an accident. The User must report the incident using the SCOOTEV app, as well as provide images of the vehicle. The Company will estimate the damages as soon as practicable. The User acknowledges that he or she is responsible for the amount of damages calculated by the Company. Furthermore, the User is responsible for the cost of towing the Vehicle.
In the event of an accident, any summons or notices issued by the applicable Police authority, Court, or any other authority in regard to the accident and/or the Vehicle while it is in the User’s custody will be notified to the Company as soon as possible. Following that, the User must report the accident to the Company in writing, detailing all of the events in full.
In the event of an accident involving third-party property while the vehicle is in the User’s custody, the User must file a police complaint with the appropriate police station and complete the Company incident report form. The User must also submit the following information:
Date, time and place of incident.
License number plate of the third party.
Name, Address and Driving License of the other driver.
Name, Address and Driving License of the owner of the Vehicle (if the driver is not the Owner of the vehicle).
Name, addresses and phone number of the witness if any.
The User agrees to cooperate with the Company during the time of investigation of the incident. The User’s account may be suspended until the investigation and recovery of damages is completed.
Users are not supposed to park the vehicles in any unauthorized parking lots which are unidentifiable to the connectivity.
